Energy is responsible for almost three quarters of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions. To reduce these emissions and fight climate change, more and more sectors of the economy are electrifying, and the production of this electricity is shifting towards wind and solar power. As this happens, power grids must maintain their key property of always perfectly balancing electricity supply and demand — an increasingly difficult task as more and more of the supply is influenced by the weather.

Dexter Energy is an Amsterdam-based startup that’s solving this problem using AI-based forecasting and optimization services for energy companies. Our software makes renewables more predictable and profitable, helping push fossil fuels out of the market, and speeding up the energy transition.

Following our Series A funding round, we are currently accelerating the growth of our company, and we are looking for a Commercial Delivery Manager to join our team of curious, ambitious and highly-skilled people. 

As a Commercial Delivery Manager at Dexter you will be responsible to manage and improve customer success. This means you manage (customer-facing) projects, manage relations, ensure that we meet expectations and monitor & improve our services. You will work on building our reputation and work closely with the founders.

What you will be working on

Work with clients over entire customer journey (from pilot > contracting > on-boarding > impact > growth).

Support customers with integration, challenges and issues and work towards building & managing customer support in the company (team & processes).

Identify, design and implement customer-oriented processes that allow Dexter to become more scalable.

Grow customer success by:

  • Managing & building strong relationships.
  • Customer-facing project management.
  • Deeply understand the challenges and needs of our customers.

Identify business opportunities within our existing customer base.

Help our tech teams improving the quality of our services by providing intelligence how our customers use our services.

Your responsibilities 

  • Manage technical on-boarding projects with customers and our technical teams.
  • Ensure high service quality and perform evaluation meetings with customers – on call and onsite.
  • Identify & execute customer growth opportunities – convert into and manage pilots.
  • Assist during pre-boarding on contracting processes (pilots & contracting) with business development and founders.

    Minimum Qualifications

    2+ years experience in medium to enterprise B2B business development

    Experience in technical (software) project management.

    Relevant education OR professional experience in energy markets.

    Strong verbal & non-verbal communication skills in highly analytical working environments.

    Preferred qualifications

    • Domain knowledge in power markets, power trading or Machine Learning / AI.
    • Commercial experience in SaaS scale-ups.
    • Affinity with contracting & legal affairs.
